Running into the exact same error, same call stack. Any updates on this fix?

Ok, it might be Java's fault. If I go to my About Java Control panel, the version is: build 1.8.0_151-b12, while my working computer has java version build 1.7.0_79.b15.

So I will attempt to rollback my Java version to see if it fixes it.

Nope, rollback didn't work. But now I do not get an exception in the log, just a pop up saying "Catastrophic Failure".

It did work! Ok, so there were two problems:
1) Java Runtime 1.8 build 151 isn't supported, you get that versioning error. So the rollback to Java 7 was part of the fix.
2) The Catastrophic failure was something unrelated, I was messing with multiple versions of flash, and the windows registry got confused. I deleted all the old keys of flash 32, and let flash 31 be the one to use. Then I associated swf files to flash 31, and did I restart of the computer.

Now it's fixed. Burned 3 hours. Thanks Java!
