Well it's perfectly reasonable to implement notifications on project saving.

I implemented (in FD4 branch) a "before save" event to notify plugins and even let you forbid saving.
Changes should be easily portable to FD3 but as far as we are concerned FD3 is "feature freezed".

Ported the changes to FD3 with no problems and HERE are my newest changes to the SC-Plugin using it and handling "new files" - this time as a SVN-Patch as it is possible to operate SVN and TFS side-by-side (the path needs to be applied to the "SourceControl"-folder).

But I found a little problem with your implementation: If you "cancel the saving" nothing happens - eighter the changes to the project should be reverted or easier just open the dialog again...

BTW: The "FileFromTemplate"-Bug I reported above is also present in the FD4-branch!

cfi, I fixed an issue in session restoration your previous patch.

You're right, project-saving cancellation can be a problem - I'll figure something.

cfi, do you have an updated description on how to install and use this plugin or do the description in the first post still apply? Does it work in FD3?

Ok, so I don´t have to bother about the links:
http://www.memorylifter.com/CFI_2011-01-07.zip
http://www.gisingen.at/CFI/FD/cfi_2011-01-08.patch

Those are uncompiled files, right? Just for clearification...
Just download the http://www.memorylifter.com/fdTFS.zip and unzip to C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop\Plugins and restart FD?

Thanks!

Yes exactly, the other files are source code files for the FD-Dev-Team, you only need to do what the first first post says (you need to unzip to "C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop\" as the main .exe is also replaced - please install the lates FD 3.3.2 first)...

Awesome @cfi; added to FD4 plug-ins list in the good ol' wiki:

Great thanks, I am giving it a go now.

One thing so far, noticed that whenever I check something out I get a dialog box saying:

Quote:
Non Fatal Failure

Warning: There are other pending changes against the item.

Seems to be because my colleague has the same file(s) checked out. I can see it getting a little annoying if it comes up with this every time. It would be good if I could disable this message. I can live with it however if that's not possible.

Also, is there a possibility of an auto-checkout when editing a file, much like Visual Studio does?

So far it seems a lot more useful than me checking out the entire tree so I don't have to keep going back to explorer and check each file out through the tfs shell extension.

@Shuntis:

Yes, the warning is to tell you someone else has checked out the file.

But good point for both of your suggestions. I just did it the way I'm using it, but I will add some settings to add the ability to choose what you want to do same as in VS.

Next Version will be out in 2-3 weeks....

@edenlin:
The folder needs to be a mapped TFS-Folder (using Team Explorer), then the plugin should recognize it...
