IAP: Is the UI lag there even when having no project or files open? Do you get this error all the time, every now and then or once? Also what is your DPI setting?

Sure, i can add the setting for that.

The UI lag when interacting with it, no matter if there is a project or a file. Still, I can't be sure if it's a problem with my computer that makes everything lag, but in comparison to V4.7 it is slower on my computer.

About the DPI, I don't know, the display control panel doesn't say. But it's the native for the display.

This error is thrown the first time the File panel is drawn. Also, the drawing of the file panel is defected:

We did some tweaks to the window rendering which could make the UI feel heavier. I prepared a FlashDevelop.exe for you without these tweaks. Let me know does this help.

Based on the image, you are running more than 100% scaling and this is where i have seen the issue few times. I need to track that down and fix it.

The scaling is of the forum.

This problem also happens with the logs panel. I think it's related to the combo box controller.

Hi,
The HighlightSelection plugin still doesn't work for me with the latest build (5.0.0.26), unhandled exception:
Code:
Method not found: 'int32
PluginCore.Utilities.DataConverter.ColorToInt32(System.Drawing.Color)

Also I'm confused about the Highlight Matching Words Mode; is it supposed to do the same thing as the HighlightSelection plugin? For me it doesn't appear to do anything, whatever the setting!
EDIT: it works! After 1 sec or a bit more a very, very subtle highlight appears!
I've looked in syntax coloring menu but I cannot find where I could change this color, please tell!

Finally I want to say thanks for the awesome work!!

IAP: Ok, i found out that the reason for both your issues (crash and performace) was from the same change, adjusting button paddings on high DPI mode. Should be fixed now and UI should be way more responsive now.

jouxrose: Thanks for reporting, the api breakage is now fixed. Atm. the "Highlight Matching Words Mode" follows your selection fore color, this is due to the fact that we want also the previous themes to support this. I will check if there is any proper way to make this a separate setting.

New build (5.0.0.28) should be up soon.

Added a setting for the highlight matching words delay. It's in build 5.0.0.29.

Seems the builds fail atm as AppVeyor can't connect to GitHub because of the current DDoS attack. I'll keep trying.

Maybe there's a problem with my theme / syntax coloring then ? b/c this is what I have:
Image
I can't find the color used : 0x312D1F, but since it match my theme, I guess it is derived from my background color and not from selection fore color ?
Thank you for looking into that, for me if it could only match selection fore color and/or background it would do!

There was another performance issue, the latest build 5.0.0.32 should have everything fixed.

Jouxrose: It reduces opacity for that color, need to check if that could be adjusted.

An issue I've found:
Error of syntax checking are printed in the output panel, but not in the Results panel, as expected.
These types of errors:
Quote:
--macro:1: character 0 : Unknown identifier : flash
src/utils/KeyboardActions.hx:33: characters 32-33 : Unexpected ,

Build errors with the same format, are going to the Results panel.

IAP: Thanks for reporting. Is the performance better now?

Yes, the performance is better. Forgot the report it, sorry.

By the way, the haxe completion is not as good as the AS3 completion, and much less convenient, even when I try "compiler", "FlashDEvelop" or "compiler server" completion. Is this a known thing and will be fixed?
