How are class name conflicts resolved?

I'm working on a project that references classpaths that include some classes with repeated names and no package identifiers, like Main and Preloader. I'm guessing FlashDevelop doesn't use the classes in the referenced classpath because it will always look for a name in the main project path first. Is there a guide or anything that shows how naming conflicts are resolved, like what order FlashDevelop looks for class names in?

Do you have any particular problem? It's not clear what you are asking.
I believe you can add different project class paths in project properties so FD can figure out classes you are working with but compiling files with different roots is another story...

No, I don't have a particular problem. It's just important to know how naming conflicts are resolved so that behavior can be predicted.
