I'm relatively new to Flash, although I do have some programming background in Common Lisp. One of the first things I generally do when I pick up a new language is run through a few tests for myself, one of which is to make a Pong clone. I use FlashPunk for the collision library, and keep track of scores by incrementing a variable in the "ball.as" script (used to create and describe the ball). However, when I tried to access this variable in another script, it throws the following error:

Access of possibly undefined property playerPoints through a reference with static type Class.
graphic = new Text(String(ball.playerPoints));

Could someone please tell me how to solve this issue?
