I thought it would be useful to use a thread for suggestions in the ActionScript tab (I've seen it referred to as the class tree view). So any time I have a suggestion that fits in here, I'll just use this thread instead of having multiple topics in for the same area. here goes.... :)

TODO suggestion:

Along with the current tree nodes for the extends, imports, methods etc. Is there a simple way to add a node that would display todo: lines? would be nice if I could do

//todo:Something critical to do : comments on the critical thing
//todo:Something simple to do : commentson the simple thing

and in the tree node labeled todo display the text between the : :

hope I explained it clearly

I'm back!

There are several things on my TODO list for the ASCompletion plugin (aka "ActionScript tab", aka "class tree view").

handling of the std8 folder as well as Flash 8's FTP7 / FPT8 folders
 if you really need the flash 8 classes I guess you can overwrite the .AS files in the std folder by the std8 folder.

Edit: In the SVN, ASCompletion has been updated to handle Flash 8 correctly.

rewrite the parser/tokeniser code to have a smarter code completion engine and maybe syntax validation (like FDT). I'll investigate the asigen project's parser.

better handling of classes interfaces

parsing TODO comments -- they may appear in the results panel or in the class tree, maybe we should poll this ;)
