Hey guys,

my vote goes to "Add a button in the help section to check for SDK updates and download them automatically."

What do you think?

Cheers

- support multiple projects (solution in visual studio);
- SWC project;
- automatic rename classes/packages;
- unit testing;

- easier ANE integration (switching between desktop test and ipa build is a little bit complicated with ANEs at the moment?)
- easier Update of Flex and Air SDK (one click update like it is in the installation)

love FD =)

I heard rumors that project is moving towards refining as MonoDevelop plugins. Is it true?

Joshua Granick has started a Haxe binding for MonoDevelop - it doesn't borrow anything from FD but he tries to keep the spirit. Still a far cry from a move to MD.

Things I found usefull when working with other IDE's and which are missing in FlashDevelop:
- Multiple projects support
- Library projects (compiles to SWC)
- Refactor rename class, move class to different package
- Highlight references in file (I tried one FD plugin for this but it was really ugly and somehow less usefull then the same feature in FlashBuilder)
- Open call hierarchy
- Watch expression with possibility to type it
- Conditional breakpoints
- Showing a checkmark on a breakpoint when the debugger is connected
- Different coloring for local and member variables (so people who like writing "this." every time will have no reason to do it anymore)
- Showing properties of a class when browsing swc content

Automatic unit test creation. Also, auto mock or stub creation should be possible, too. Much less debugging if it is tested first, and easier to test if the framework is drawn for me.

A preprocessor does the compiler job better, like inline constants and such, would be a wonderful thing...

Here is the next big thing: Obfuscator!

Just an intelligent renaming of classes, functions, variables etc in as3 level:
- random-produced names
- no renaming of external calls, loading files, urls (+custom list)
- that wouldn't break the preloader,
would be more than enough.
You have to pay more than 100$ just for that -this is the most important function of all obfuscators. All other functions are of dubious effectiveness.
It would be an added value to FlashDevelop that would make a difference!

i cant imagine how complicated is but i would like to see some kind of color history from recent to old
with color scales for new changes and old ones in the background of documents and background of project explorer.

so when i open a project i can see wich documents where last modified by looking into the colors in the background of the project explorer and
then see in the editor what lines where changed recently.

Just an idea :)

How about adding some more features for refactoring ?

1. Auto import for all missing classes definition in a file
2. Clean up import for all files

What do you think ?

A great addition would be a panel that shows the variables' values in real time.

(Here's a demo video. You can advance to the time 19:15. http://vimeo.com/36579366)

@hwalker, you can do this (more or less) with the "Immediate Panel", that act's like a console for AS code...
But a better inspector would be great.

@NemoStein: the Immediate Panel is very different from the example I showed.

To be able to build and deploy to mobile/air without having to edit bat files. The current AIR project settings does some stuff but not all. I would like to be able to use it for everything and never have to edit bat files or xml files relating to my app/game.

If all the setting could be done in the project settings I would be very happy.

Things like;

- selecting the desired target and build type, much like the HaxeNME plugin does.
- textfields to enter relevant certificate infos, upload files etc..."
- application settings through the "project properties" via checkbox's and dropdowns menus rather than editing the xml.
- Also someway to include ANE files

Just make it simple to build air/mobile projects.

Oh and something that nice in Flash Builder is it detects camelCase and under_scores when tabbing. That would be ace too.

Thanks.
