Just like in Eclipse, it would be nice if we could add a "shorcut" of a directory to the Project Explorer, so we could also "Always Compile" classes we need and that are not located in our project directory.

I'm a fan of the linked directory feature from Eclipse as well.

Excellent suggestion. What's the bigger picture though; what would this feature ultimately let you do?

It allows easy editing and viewing of files that aren't in your project directory. I have a personal library of classes that I commonly use in many projects. Obviously, I should add it as a classpath. This takes it a step further and allows allow me to edit or fix a bug in one of those classes while I'm working on a particular project. Sure, I can just go to File->Open to edit a file just fine, but it's kind of nice to be able to access it from the project tree.

It's not something I need, just a nice extra that speeds up my workflow.

Yeah, I know what you mean ... I have the exact same situation, needing to edit some "shared" source files in a classpath. What I've been doing personally is pointing the File Explorer panel at my class library and switching between project/file explorer.

But, it would be nicer to have everything in the project panel ... Hmm...
