Editing the templates does not solve this. It's pretty annoying to have to remove

/**
..
author: ...
**/

every time I create a file.

I the author prompt is empty, there is no point inserting this. Could you please fix this in a future patch ?

Thanks for the hint, but I don't want to precise the author nor have the comment block. Unless you are working on an open source project with a licence the comment is useless (svn / git allows you to identify the author in a team project).

Please create a Github issue.

In the meantime you can edit the templates to remove the author part:
- Tools > User Config Files...
- edit files under Templates/ProjectFiles and Projects.

Hi Philippe, i'll create the github issue. Thanks for the help on editing the templates, I followed other advice I found on the forum that pointed to the install folder.
