Love this plugin but the latest version is causing all sorts of bugs for me in FD 4.4.3 dev build.

3 main bugs are:

1. clicking anywhere on the minimap does not move the document to that positions - i actually have to click and drag.
2. Sometimes I actually see 2 minimaps at the same time (not in split view mode)
3. I disable the plugin - via the explorer button or the properties window - yet it is still visible in any other tab - it works for hidding in the current document.

Here is a screenshot of #3

@mrpinc

Sorry about the poor release. I have posted an updated build that I think will fix your issues. Thanks for the bug report. =)

@IAP

I know you requested it a long time ago, but I have finally updated the MiniMap to scroll when dragging. Enjoy! =)

Implemented support for using the scroll wheel to scroll the MiniMap for large files. With this change I kinda feel that this extension is complete. I will update again if bugs are found or if there are breaking changes in FlashDevelop.

Enjoy!

Thought you were done but I found another bug.

If 'Code Preview' is not on - then when I click inside the minimap it won't travel to that location.

If 'Code Preview' is on - then it will travel after clicking - but only after the Code Preview has appeared. This is with the latest version.

@mrpinc

Try to fix one problem and create another. I believe this build should work for you. Thanks again for your report. =)

Hi, What mrpinc called a bug, I want it as a feature.

Quote:
1. clicking anywhere on the minimap does not move the document to that positions - i actually have to click and drag.

I want this behavior, but somehow, it works for me the way mrpinc wants it... :shock:

Let me explain - when I see a code block in the minimap, I want to click to get to this code. When I click, the minimap scrolls to another position, making me lose my code block. I want to have to click and drag to really scroll them minimap.

Thanks :)

I wanted to take some time to thank you for this plugin. It's very nice.

Also, I discovered a bug, I had the minimap on, then I dragged one of my tabs to create a vertical split (two files next to eachother). Then, when I tried to disable the minimap, FlashDevelop crashed. Tell me if I'm being unclear.

Hey, it's really slick now, especially on Win8 BTW as the scrollbars are less obnoxious.

However it doesn't work too well with Haxe directives:

Also there seem to be some bugs with pageup/down wrt minimap highlighting:
- open a file and go to the beginning,
- press pagedown, then pageup: minimap highlight doesn't show the right area (highlighted rectangle seem "too high").

@wazig

Thanks for the report! I'll have some free time over the holidays to take a look at it.

@Philippe

I let the scintilla control handle the highlighting based on language, which I assume runs off a list of keywords. I will have to look and see what additional work FD is doing for highlighting. Thanks for the bug report!

Minimap may not be robust enough for large files - you may want to have a size limit setting to avoid the map crashing...

What a lovely add-on!

I've a minor, low priority feature-request: would it be possible to have this optionally as a panel? It would be lovely to be able to dock it as just another project-navigation tab that I can switch to, alongside the project/outline/files tabs on the right of the IDE.

I suspect this might be a mammoth amount of work, though, so perhaps not worth doing? :(

Er, found a crashing bug.

Fortunately, it's one that loses you the minimum possible work!

Steps to reproduce:
1) In FD, turn on the option that shows just a new, blank document when you close the last tab, rather than the news page. I forget where this option is, but I know that I did it, and I suspect it is relevant and why this was not reported before.
2) Open a file.
3) Close that tab, so you're left with a blank tab. Note: bug does NOT show if you open FD and have only a blank tab shown! It must be the one you get after closing the last tab.
4) Click the toolbar button to toggle the minimap. Off or on, doesn't matter: it'll crash.

Windows 7 64 bit.
