I've started this a little. I had planned on just making a C# wrapper for the debugger since it could prove useful outside of FlashDevelop as well. I've primarily started on just using the command-line debugger more so that I'm very familiar with it. I'd be happy to collaborate on this effort, I think it would be great to get it in FD as a plugin.

i seem to be having problems with fdb, as my application just hangs when it tries connecting to the debugger, anybody ever had that?

What is fdb reporting back? Once an app connects to fdb I believe you have the chance to set some debug points, etc. This will cause your app to freeze until you tell fdb to continue.

it says it connected and gives me back the prompt, but when i type continue to start the app it just stalls (running in firefox)

i run my local web server and i start the app with
file http://127.0.0.1:8000
run (opens firefox to address above)
<reports connection>
continue
FREEZE

I could test out the debug swf if you feel like posting or sending it. I haven't had any problems with fdb myself, but I haven't used it on regular basis.
