Hi Guys!

Updated version!

Finally had some spare time to address to the various errors/problems posted here. I was able to fix the following problems:

  • Reference error (@oopstoons,moloko)
  • Standard tooltip not appearing (@DrGreen)
  • Comma separated list (@DrGreen,Lunarsi)

You can find the most recent version of the plugins by clicking the links in the first post of this topic!

Next steps to do are:

  • Support argb-values (in such a flexible way that also other schemes can "easily" be supported)
  • Switch to storage for settings

@Phillipe:
  • Is it possible to access another plugins settings (I would really like to use the tooltip delay of the standard tooltip)?
  • Would you mind changing the UITools to also support OnMouseOut (or similar, analog the OnMouseHover)-Event so I wouldn't have to access sci directly (to handle DWellEnd)?

Hi, This plugin is creating bugs with FlashDevelop. I describe them in this topic:

Try installing from AppMan (Tools > Install Software).

I understand what the problem was.
1. uppercase letters in hexadecimal notation.
2. the jscript file is not supported in the plug-in.

Long time no message on this plugin. :oops:

Hi Klug76

I will inspect it further and check what's up with the setup.
So you had problems with matching hex-values? That's strange, as actually both (upper- and lowercase) letters should be matched by the default-rules. Could you please provide me an example, if the error still exists?
Thanks for the issue (I guess it's filed by you?) on your second point. I will give it a try and have a look how it will integrate with FD.

Regards
Griz

1. To support ARGB format (0XDDBAC7BE for example), I changed the recognition patterns:

\#(?<Rh>[0-9a-fA-F]?)(?<Gh>[0-9a-fA-F]?)(?<Bh>[0-9a-fA-F])\b
\#(?<Rh>[0-9a-fA-F]{0,2})(?<Gh>[0-9a-fA-F]{0,2})(?<Bh>[0-9a-fA-F]{1,2})\b
0[xX](?<Rh>[0-9a-fA-F]{0,2})(?<Gh>[0-9a-fA-F]{0,2})(?<Bh>[0-9a-fA-F]{1,2})\b
0[xX]([0-9a-fA-F]{2})(?<Rh>[0-9a-fA-F]{2})(?<Gh>[0-9a-fA-F]{2})(?<Bh>[0-9a-fA-F]{2})\b
rgb\((\s*(?<Rd>\d{1,3})\s*,\s*)?(\s*(?<Gd>\d{1,3})\s*,\s*)?(?<Bd>\d{1,3})\)?

(probably 0xRGB is better than 0XRGB, but when testing FD5 it caught first).

2. To support jscript, adding syntax.StartsWith("js") in the plugin source is not enough: after FD starts, the plugin does not work in js-file. However, it starts to work if loaded once in the as-file (probably not loaded in js, yet did not investigated why)...

I have had your very helpful plugin installed for some time, but have not been involved in the portion of a development project until now in which a great deal of time gets consumed in refining the UI. Now that I am doing that, I have a problem which perhaps can be remedied via some option setting somewhere, or it may be that I am requesting an enhancement. If it does require code changes for you, I cannot declare that the priority ought to be high -- maybe something you just file away as a thought for another day.

Here is a chunk of code which I think is well-behaved, and its use -- in a css file, in this case -- is pretty self-explanatory.
As you can see, at the time of this snapshot, I am experimenting with thematic colors. The current ones are assignment constants, the ones "on hold" have been commented out.

As best as I can tell, your tooltip handler refuses to deal with a color constant string when it is in the commented state. I am
sure there are many use cases which suggest that ignoring commented code is "a good idea," here, however, it would really
be productivity-increasing if the event handling logic could be induced to treat a string, even a string that is a comment rather
than active code, to dispatch the event that I guess your code needs in order to "do its thing."

Code:
public static
   function get appPalette()
   :Object
   {
      // Alphabetical order just for programmer ease, not required by the software.
      return ({
         AppBackground : 0xcadfca, // 0xf8fbc4,
         HiLitItem : 0xdbc32a,
         ItemLt : 0x98af90, // 0xe5b445,
         ItemDk : 0xd8efd0 // 0xdba214
      });
   } // End of appPalette getter.
