I always boot Windows in VMWare especially for FD. So I've tried before, like many others, to run it in Mac OS X in some way...

And even though I tried this before and it never worked, I thought I'd give it a new try, since some nice things have happened to both Wine and FlashDevelop lately...

I applied dotnet20, dotnet20sp1, gdiplus, installed FD4.3.2 stand-alone, and Flex SDK separately...
And it works!
(This is without using the Linux patched version I found here)

So, I took a leap and tried bottling it, and that also works!
Tried it on Macs of 2 colleagues, and they confirm that it does indeed work.

I packaged it with XQuartz and Flash Player Debugger...

NOTE: If you download this software, you implicitly agree to the EULA of all software included.

I haven't tested it thoroughly yet, the only issue I've seen so far is that you can't use the Z: drive for classpaths. Classpaths appear to work only when they are located at the C: drive (the Wine drive_c folder)

Check it out, I hope it works for many :)

Thanks very much for bottling this!
It's very much appreciated.
I don't know you but I guess you are an awesome human being.

Works well on my late 2011 MacBook Pro

Over and out!

Works well for me :)

A few things lacking though:

Has anyone had any luck in getting FlashDevelop to open up bin/index.html in a browser?

Or been able to click to open project files?

Also drag and drop are not working for me :(
