Am migrating my Flex 3.6A SDK + LCDS 2.6 based flex project to FD 4.5.2.5.
Selected the project properties as Compiler option
Have provided all mxml compiler options and it doesn't complain. But the final generated swf size doesn't match.
1. Selected "SWC include libraries" and put all the lcds and other open source *.swc files there.
Selected "Static Link RSL" as true
then swf file size is one fifth of the original size.

2. Selected "SWC libaries" and selected Static Link RSL as true
Now size is double of what I typically have.

This should not be the case as we don't use dynamic loaded RSL. Inside Flex builder I use "Framework linkage:" "merged into code" option.

The generated swf is invalid. Browser doesn't throw any error, neither the error is shown in flashlog.txt.

Looks like something is wrong in linking and including the swc. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks !

Hi

I am working with FlashDevelop tool for developing Flex application with SDK 3.6, Application getting hanged with each compile and FlashDevelop performance too slow.

I tried with increase RAM size from (C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop\Tools\flex_sdk_3.6a\bin\jvm.config --> java.args=-Xmx1024m -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false)

Still have same Issue, anyone have idea how I fix this issue. :(

Thanks

Do you mean that building affects the general performance of FD?
How much RAM do you have on your machine? you're reserving a lot of RAM to Java.

You may need to try compiling your SWF from the command line without FD and see if it works better.

Hi Philippe,

My FlashDevelop working fine with Flash Player. But not working with Flash debugger plugin, I think think FlashDevelop response problem because of Flash debugger plugin. You have any idea to improve debugging performance.

Thank's :)
