Hi,

I just updated to FD v5.3.0.3 and it's great. A bunch of new features and most importantly, I can open read-only AS3 projects again.

However, when I try to build my Air application and run it with the debugger I get the following error:

Code:
Debugger startup error. For troubleshooting see: http://www.flashdevelop.org/wikidocs/index.php?title=F.A.Q
Error details: net.sf.jni4net.jni.JNIException: Can't find jni4net.j-0.8.8.0.jar

or c:\program files (x86)\flashdevelop\bin\jni4net.j-0.8.8.0.jar

   at net.sf.jni4net.BridgeSetup.AddBridgeClassPath()
   at net.sf.jni4net.BridgeSetup..ctor(Boolean autoAddBridgeClassPath)
   at FlashDebugger.DebuggerManager.Start(Boolean alwaysStart)

The .jar file is available here, I've checked: "C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop\Plugins\jni4net.j-0.8.8.0.jar".

I would have though that the %-encoded path in the stack would have found it, but apparently it doesn't.

Any help appreciated!

We are trying to figure this out. Do you have:

jni4net.n.w32.v20-0.8.8.0.dll
jni4net.n.w32.v40-0.8.8.0.dll

If so, could you delete the v20 one and restart?

The FlashDevelop plugins folder only contains jni4net.n.w32.v40-0.8.8.0.dll

I have also scanned the entire C:\ for any other instances of jni4net.n.w32.v20-0.8.8.0.dll and it's nowhere to be found.

I downloaded the .zip release just to see if there was any difference, and indeed I get another error.

It seems that the standalone version finds the .jar but then I get the following stack instead...

Code:
Error details: net.sf.jni4net.jni.JNIException: Can't load java class for flash.tools.debugger.concrete.DValue_ from classLoader sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader@757aef ---> java.lang.LinkageError: flash/tools/debugger/concrete/DValue_ : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0

   at FlashDebugger.DebuggerManager.Start(Boolean alwaysStart)

I'm running on
Code:
Microsoft Windows 10
Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.64)

I also made sure that I have .NET 4.0 installed on my PC

Development builds are here: http://flashdevelop.org/downloads/builds/, you should get FlashDevelop-development.exe.

The official release will prolly come in a week with additional fixes.
