If you're a Windows user and aren't already hooked to Chocolatey you are missing a very useful thing: a package manager.

What it means is that from the command line (or using a GUI) you can install many common programs (nearly 2k packages), like all sorts of web browsers (Chrome/ium, Firefox...), dev tools (git, svn, java, node.js), utilities (VLC, 7zip, RapidEE,...), editors (notepad2, atom.io,...) and now FlashDevelop without having to go to a website to get the latest version.

Once you have installed Chocolatey, you can get one of the FlashDevelop packages:
Code:
// latest release
cinst flashdevelop

// latest dev build, use the -force as CI builds have the same Chocolatey version
cinst flashdevelop.dev -force
